Open Flame/Hot Works Demo Approval Form
Deadline to submit a demonstration is November 28.
Types of Demonstrations that Require Approval:
Torches/welding equipment
Metal cutters
Fireplaces
Heat or smoke-producing devices
Anything with an open flame
Approval Process:
Fill out the form below, providing all the required information
Show Management will review the request to be sure everything appears to be in order
Demonstrations for the 2026 AHR Expo will be submitted together to the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Clark County Building & Fire Prevention Office for official approval
You will be notified once approval has been granted. Approved demonstrations may be subject to an on-site inspection to be sure all required safety precautions are being taken prior to the opening of the show.
Required Safety Precautions:
Must be contained inside a non-combustible enclosure that totally encapsulates the flame or behind a non-combustible shield providing a measure of safety to the public.
Must be positioned on a non-combustible surface with 24-inch clearance for the flame device from any combustibles and booth back wall.
Must have a mechanism available to quickly and safely extinguish the flame.
Must have at least one multipurpose fire extinguisher rated minimum 2–A: 10–BC, certified and tagged, strategically located within the booth.
Dedicated fire watch - booth personnel familiar with the operation of the fire extinguisher and familiar with emergency protocol - assigned to be on hand whenever device is in use.
The use of Propane is limited to 5lb cylinders.
Compressed gas cannot be stored in the building overnight. Alternative storage arrangements must be made in advance.
